4. Montgomery, AL to Washington DC; August 23-27 2010

Slated to tour the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, the US Supreme Court, and The Arlington National Cemetery, we flew to Washington DC as we were finishing up our JAG course.

Kris flew up separately and I met her at our DC Courtyard hotel. She was able to join us on some of the tours and briefings.  We saw the Air Force Honor Guard and the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals.

At Bolling AFB.  Kris is thinking about the Postal Museum.

Most evenings, we enjoyed DC in its splendor, visiting the National Postal Museum and eating at Five Guys.

On the evening of the 26th, we attended our first Major League game as a married couple.  The Cardinals were in town and we went to Nationals Park.  We saw a great, extra-inning game that included Pujols’s 400th home run and a Nationals win.

We had great seats in left field.  Pujols’s home run went just to our left.

We flew back on the 27th, exhausted, but ready to enjoy two more weeks of sedate Montgomery life.

Days on the road this trip: 5
