Fresh off our Talkeetna cabin success, we booked another cabin for two nights in Seward. The cabin had a kitchen and a ladder and two beds up in a loft. We put the pack-n-play on the ground floor and drove back to Resurrection Bay. We went to the Kenai Fjords Visitor Center and played at the park across from the bay. We went back to the cabin, settled in, and planned the next day’s adventures.
We started early the next morning. We went to the Alaska Sealife Center. Z loved the petting tank. He touched the starfish and shells.
We saw manatees and sea lions. The octopus was a hit.
We ate lunch in Seward and went back to the cabin for a nap. We headed to Kenai Fjords National Park to attempt a second hike to Exit Glacier. Snow blocked our way when we went in May. This time, A was in the backpack and Z in the stroller and we hiked the whole way on a wet and foggy afternoon.
We drove back into Seward for a final tour of the Sealife Center and dinner.
Exhausted, we caught a couple episodes of Northern Exposure and went to sleep.
We drove home the next morning.
