32c. Port Orange, FL to Shreveport, LA; December 27, 2013 – January 12, 2014

We drove from Florida back to Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, AL.  I was in a Military Justice course for two weeks.  The first week, Kris and the kids stayed with me.  Alabama was reasonably cool.  We went to the air park and ate dinners at 5 Guys.  A, now 16 months old, managed to trip the first night in billeting and split her eyebrow.  It bled a lot, but she persevered.

That first weekend, we drove to Barksdale AFB, LA where Kristi’s brother was now stationed.  We played with trains and barbecued and played at the park.

I left that Sunday to return for my second week of school at Maxwell.  They  stayed there for the week and flew back to Maxwell the following Saturday.  From there, we would fly as a family to California.  Ready for Christmas number 3!
