43. Kokomo, IN to Vincennes, IN; January 2, 2015

The Friday after New Year’s Day, we drove down to Costco in Indianapolis.  It was still early when we left Costco and cold enough that we could keep the refrigerated items in the van if we parked awhile.

We threw caution to the wind and drove down to Vincennes, Indiana to visit the William Henry Harrison House, Grouseland.

We were the only visitors to our 9th president’s house.  We learned about Old Tippecanoe and his 31 days in office.  We got a picture in front of the house and went looking for a late lunch.

That’s our van in front of the house.  The docents were excited for visitors.

On our way out of town, we noticed a sign for the George Rogers Clark National Historic Park.  We drove there instead of getting food.

We saw the beautiful memorial and learned that the Revolutionary War made it all the way out to Indiana.  We spent an hour or so running on the grounds, but had no juice left in our phones for pictures.

We left, found a Chili’s to eat at, and headed home, ready for the weekend.

Total days on the road this trip:  1
