53b. Warner Robins, GA to Kokomo, IN; September 20 – 27, 2015

I worked during the days and the kids did a lot of playing in the park across the street form billeting.

Anna collected acorns.  Zach played on the slides.  Kris, at 7 1/2 months pregnant, watched.

We left Robins AFB on September 25, checking out the Museum of Aviation on our way out of town.  Zach and Anna loved the airplanes and the pilot seats.

We stayed in Cartersville, GA.  The next morning, we continued our trek home, stopping for a dairy/ice cream tour at Mayfield Dairy Farms.  Most impressive was the fake cow and the way the plastic gallon jugs were molded.

After another night in Kentucky, we went up to Cincinnati to tour the William Howard Taft National Historic Site.  We toured the house and rolled around on the grass outside.  The kids asked questions and, although they did not complete the junior ranger books, the ranger gave them their very first junior ranger badges.

We drove home from Cincinnati, ending our month and a half of extensive travel.

Days on the road this trip:  10
