63c. Alexandria, VA, August 5 – 10, 2016

Aug 5-10:  As usual, we had a wonderful time with the Andersons.  We watched Star Wars.  We barbecued.  We played baseball (Theo hit a couple of shots off of me).

We also spent a ton of time talking and catching up.

We strolled the grounds at Mount Vernon.  The kids completed their activity book and received a smushed penny with Mount Vernon on it.

We took the train into DC and spent a glorious afternoon visiting the Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History.  We toured Main Justice to see where Uncle Pete worked.

On another day, we drove into DC to tour the monuments.   We saw the Washington Monument, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Lincoln and Jefferson Monuments.

All in all, we had a great time with family.

The week flew by and we had to say goodbye.  But not before we got some homemade pizza.
