63f. Boston, MA to Bar Harbor, ME, August 15 – 16, 2016

Aug 15:  We drove to the JFK Library and Museum in the morning.  We walked on the dock and explained what assassination meant to the kids.

Zach and Anna ran around outside for a bit, enjoying the beautiful Boston morning.  We loaded up in the van, ready for the drive to Bangor, Maine.

We stayed in the TownePlace Suites in Bangor.  We swam and then slept.

Aug 16:  We drove to Acadia National Park.  We got the Junior Ranger books and maps of the park.  The kids went to a rock exhibit/lecture to learn about different formations.

We drove to the beach and went for a hike.

We checked into our Bar Harbor hotel, went grocery shopping for cereal and milk, and went to bed early, looking forward to our second day exploring Acadia.
