71b. Fairfax, VA; June 29 – 30, 2017

We woke up to cousin glory.  Theo and Benji played with Zach and Anna.  They jumped on the trampoline for what seemed like hours.

Ella was shy, but opened up a little to Claire.

We went to a county park for the afternoon.  We walked on a trail near the lake and came to a miniature train ride.  We hopped aboard and went around the loop.

We went back to Pete and Char’s for dinner and conversation.

The next morning, we headed out early to to go the Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center.

Zach and Anna loved the airplanes, the satellites and the space shuttle.

We watched an IMAX feature of taking a trip to Mars and we made it up to the control tower so we could watch planes taking off from Dulles.  Zach and Benji liked talking about the planes.

But by far their favorite part of the museum was the McDonald’s where they got french fries and hamburgers.

We went back to Pete and Char’s for pizza dinner and a movie, the animated version of The Hobbit.

We then made plans for the next day’s drive:  Up to New Jersey for a wedding, time with GG, and Uncle Nate!
