We walked to a small coffee shop in Baddeck for breakfast. We packed and drove the 1/2 mile to the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site.
They had different level activity books based on the child’s age. The tasks included testing out a rotary telephone, drawing, and, for Ella, attempting to block the path (Ella’s excited because she’s sure nobody can get by).
From Baddeck, we drove most of the day, stopping every 90 minutes or so until we reached Fredericton. We ate some pizza, slept, and piled back into the van.
We pulled into Quebec City in the early afternoon and checked into our hotel. We stopped for more pizza and made our way up to the Fortifications of Quebec.
We strolled around for an hour or so before we headed back to the hotel.
We slept, ate breakfast in the coffee shop, and headed to the last excursion of our trip: Montmorency Falls.
It took us a while to figure out how to enter the park. Once we unloaded, we walked straight up to the falls. Even with the grates, I held on tightly.
And then we drove home; our major east coast Canadian trip done and Anne of Green Gables checked off the list.
