137c. Torrey, UT to Bryce Canyon, UT; March 25, 2024

We woke up in the morning and hit the road. We took meandering back roads to get to Bryce Canyon. We stopped at the visitor center, put on our snow boots and walked to the cold and icy rim trail.

We walked about 100 feet on the trail and decided it was too dangerous with kids. We drove to the Mossy Cave Trail which was about 2000 feet lower in elevation and 15 degrees warmer.

We checked out the hoodoos from the bottom while we hiked for a couple of hours.

The scenery was breathtaking.

We peeled off our jackets and gloves as we continued the hike. We found a waterfall that everyone could climb behind.

After the long hike, we went back to the visitor center for badges and some souvenirs; Zach got a dark blue version of Ella’s national park water bottle; and then we drove to the hotel.

We went to a diner with the promise of salads, only to find they were pre-packaged. The kids ate hot dogs and we retired to our room. We slept.
